Known for the ever present easterly tradewinds the Turks and Caicos Islands have pleasant cooling breezes and the temperatures remain quite constant. During the winter months temperatures average 77°F with daytime highs of 85°F and nightime lows of 65°F. Summer months are much warmer, averaging 88°F. Daytime highs can reach 95°F with nightime temperatures dropping to 75°F. The hottest months of the year are September and October, when temperatures can reach 90ºF to 95ºF. With low humidity and a great deal of sunshine the islands offer the perfect weather year round.
Casual resort and leisure wear is accepted attire for daytime; light sweaters or jackets may be necessary on some breezy evenings, especially in December, January and February.
Warm ocean water temperatures make for perfect scuba diving all year long. Temperatures at the surface are between 82°F to 78°F in the winter months, just perfect for swimming and snorkeling. During the summer months they increase to a comfortable 82°F to 86°F. |
